Job Description & Responsibilities
- Purchasing officer works under supervision of Procurement manager, and supports procurement department.
- Manage the procurement, handling, shipping, and subcontracting of aircraft spare parts, tools, equipment, and materials in compliance with the QA-approved supplier list.
- Coordinate closely with relevant departments to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing and delivery.
- Process purchase requisitions, source parts from approved vendors, and follow up on timely deliveries.
- Review shipping documents, invoices, and packing lists for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Perform cost and quality comparisons to select the most suitable procurement options in line with company policy.
- Plan and schedule materials delivery to support uninterrupted operations.
- Handle returns, exchanges, and warranty claims in accordance with company procedures.
- Support internal and external audits and implement corrective actions for any findings.
- Follow up shipment’s customs clearance for import and export shipments.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and procedural standards, including the Safety Management System (SMS).
- Perform additional tasks assigned by management to support operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Diploma or certificate in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Aviation, or a related field.
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain (experience in the aviation industry is a plus).
- Knowledge of import/export documentation, customs regulations, and aviation-specific compliance is an advantage.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills with a proactive and detail-oriented approach.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
- Good command of English (reading, writing, and speaking).
